The Westlake Theatre has been built in the 1020's. It was part of a posh neighborhood in the center of Los Angeles. It was progressively abandoned by it's rich inhabitants, and overtaken by a wave of immigrants, mainly from Central America and Asia. The Theatre has been converted to a Swap Meet in the 60's. Today the Westlake area is one of the most densely populated parts of Los Angeles.
